AkzoNobel is establishing one multi-Site in Ningbo , Zhejiang Province. Ethylene Amines , one Sub- BU of Functional Chemical, one major player of global Ethylene Amines market, is building a plant with production of Ethylene Amines within the area of this Site. The Project Management for Ethylene Amines, basing in Shanghai, is seeking for a Project Assistant.
Job Title: Project Assistant (EA China Project)
Location in : Shanghai
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support EA China project team.
Maintain and organize project documents.
Coordinate project activities with EPCM contractor, construction staff and other Ningbo projects.
Maintain project share-point. Post and distribute documents.
Assist project procurement activities. Enter purchase orders in SAP.
Support project accounting – bill payment, invoices, cost report etc.
Project representative- Ningbo newsletter
Arrange project meetings and other activities.
Support project travel.
Applicants need
Good English language capability
Good use of Office suite (word, excel, power point)
Good co-ordination Skill
Patient and carefully on work
Intern is also accepted as candidate for this position.

Functional Chemicals is a main business unit of AkzoNobel Chemicals, the headquarter is in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. We have total 6 Sub-business units under Functional Chemicals. Our product is a variety of chemicals intermediates, formulation ingredients and/or process aids on a global basis. Functional Chemicals is a major producer of ethylene amines, Chelates and micronutrients, Cellulosic specialties, Sulfur Productions and polysulfides, and Elotex.
AkzoNobel Chemicals (Ningbo) Co., Ltd, invested solely by AkzoNobel in 2007, is Ningbo Chemical Industrial Zone. As one of largest of Muiti-Sites of AkzoNobel in the world, a series of plants are on the progress of set-up in Ningbo. The total investment is over EUR 250 million.
The first plant is going to manufacture the product of Chelates potentially in early 2009. As the industrial leader to Chelates, AkzoNobel runs 4 plants in USA, Sweden, Holland, Suzhou of PRC. Our leading positions will be further strengthened by the Ningbo plant. Ethylene amines plant, the second plant, is being built also at present and it will be operational in 2010. Ethylene Amines can be used in industries of Powder Detergents, Textile Softeners, and Pharmaceuticals. As Second largest producer of this product, Plant in Ningbo will give more competition advantage.
