Company Profile
The company, a subsidiary of Siemens AG, is one of the world's largest makers of lighting products. It makes lamps (including Sylvania- and -branded products) for consumer and commercial uses, as well as for film photography. Through a joint venture with the US-based Valeo  makes head- and tail-light assemblies that are distributed in North America. The company also makes lamp-related products (ballasts, fixtures), as well as light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Another  unit makes lighting components such as glass, metals, and wiring. 

PART III
Principal Responsibilities
? Drive the LED luminaire development activities:
? Explain the product specifications, provided by marketing, to the engineering team.
? Support the development engineers in case of technical questions.
? Document and report milestone results.
? Project planning (budget and time).
Industrialization at supplier's side (no own manufacturing):

? Providing all necessary technical product data to the supplier.
? Introduction of new products into the manufacturing of the supplier.
? Ensure requested product safety, quality, and performance with the development engineers.
? Responsibilities:
? Development result (according to specification).
? Product availability (from supplier) in time.
? Product quality, safety, performance acc  / IEC standards / specification.
Scope of Communication
? This position will communicate on a nearly daily basis with LUM marketing/product management in Munich and HK as well as with suppliers in China.
? This position will communicate on a weekly basis with quality department, LS development, OS LED marketing, purchasing department and other  departments.

Requirements
? University degree in Mech. / Manuf. Engineering (or similar).
? >  2-3 years experience in developing or manufacturing HighBrightness LED luminaries (in a supervisor position).
? Experience with IEC luminaire safety standards.
? Experience with European customers.
? Experience with 3D CAD system Solid Works.
? Good English in speaking and writing necessary.
? Willing to travel within China.
Head of the CoC will come from Europe.


 PART I

TITLE  : Technology Development Engineer for LED Luminaires

REPORTS TO: Supervisor LLC, LUM I&E Shenzhen(深圳)

PART II
Principal Responsibilities
? Support the luminaire engineers during the development of LED luminaires.
? Develop technologies for i.e.
? Heat management (passive/active cooling, heat distribution).
? Optics development.
? Develop applications for High-Power LEDs.
? Design-In of OSRAM LEDs.
Requirements
? University degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering (or similar).
? Min 2 years experience in developing applications with High-Power LED.
