Senior Research Specialist
Job Description:

Design and development of next generation carrier switching using cutting edge AISC/FPGA technologies and tools. Responsible for the definition and architecture of hardware and software solutions for Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking silicon and systems. Evaluate technical proposals from suppliers and partners. Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions.

Requirements:

MS or PhD in telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of networking switching and data communication/processing system architecture on the chip
Excellent understanding of networking fundamentals – OSI network model & Layer 2 and 3 protocols
Very good understanding of Carrier Ethernet, in the access, metro and core
Experience in developing high speed Ethernet packet processing solution using FPGA and/or state of the art network processors
Strong knowledge of very high speed ASIC design and experience with high speed I/O design is highly desirable
Experience in development of DSL, L2/L3 switch is preferred.
Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
