Looking for Buddies of International Exchange Students 2008 spring semester
We have an informal buddy program whereby students from School of Business SYS
U are matched with incoming international exchange students during their study
at the school. The buddy serves as a resource and guide for the exchange stud
ent.
26 students from 8 universities of 4 counties are coming on exchange to School
of Business SYSU during the coming spring semester of 2009. Most of them are
graduate students in the study of business and management courses.
We are now recruiting volunteers from students in School of Business to serve
as their buddies. The backgrounds about the incoming exchange students are lis
ted in the form attached.

Responsibilities:
1. Help international students learn about the campus facilities.
2. Provide necessary support or information in terms of transportation, accomm
odation, and course selection;
3. Advise on course studies.
Requirements:
1. Enthusiastic about helping international students in their study and daily
lives;
2. Interested in having extensive international communications;
3. Good English skills, both written and spoken;
4. Committed to offer immediate help especially during the university registra
tion and school’s orientation dates for 2008 fall semester between August 24
and February 31, 2008. The incoming exchange students might arrive at the univ
ersity a few days ahead of registration or during the registration dates.
