IMLP Summary:
Information Technology is the key enabler for GE to compete and win in our bro
ad range of global industries. The Information Management Leadership Program (
IMLP) is a key entry point for information management professionals in GE. Thi
s program is designed to attract high potential information technology candida
tes and to further develop their technical skills, leadership abilities and bu
siness acumen as they transit from academia to the working world.

The purpose of IMLP is to provide a pipeline of information management leaders
hip talent for GEs businesses. IMLP accelerates development of entry-level ta
lent and produces leaders capable of meeting the challenges facing the IT func
tion at GE. IMLP is a 2-year program that allows members to hone their leaders
hip, business and technical skills through four challenging six-month assignme
nts and world-class training. The job assignments and training are designed to
provide hands-on IT experience on GEs strategic initiatives.

IMLP Position Description:
The IMLP curriculum is designed to give members the opportunity to experience
the entire IT function at GE through a balance of challenging rotational assig
nments and virtual and face-to-face course work.

Coursework includes:

• Presentation skills
• Business Writing
• Databases
• Networking/Infrastructure
• Application Development
• LEAN Six Sigma

Possible rotation areas may include:
• Project management
• Application development
• Systems management
• Business process re-engineering
• Infrastructure management

IMLP Intern Summary:
• Best way to experience GE and gain challenging, hands-on IT experience

• Smaller versions of IMLP rotations scoped for 8-week time periods, and
can be extended after fall semester begins depending on availability
• Intern activities with interns from other areas of the business
• Qualified IMLP interns are going to be given IMLP offers after the sum
mer internship
