Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Application Development Tools

Job Summary
Documentum, a division of EMC, is seeking a bright and energetic Software Engi
neer to help in the implementation of the new generation of our development to
ols built on the Eclipse framework.

You need to have solid software engineering skills, ample experience with Obje
ct Oriented Programming, be familiar with key design patterns, and consistentl
y produce quality code. You will need to review and understand functional and
design requirements produced by others. You will work with senior team members
to implement core product features and must be able to scope the amount of wo
rk needed and execute according to plan.
Success in the position will require you to be a smart and innovative thinker
who can interact well with other groups in different functional teams such as
Engineering, Product Mgt, QA, Technical Publication, and Technical Support.
If you have a proven track record in developing commercial software products,
especially Enterprise Application development tools, then we want to talk to y
ou.
Job Responsibilities
• Review project specs and documentation by members of cross functional
project teams
• Provide effort estimates and commit to a detailed, risk-driven, and ac
hievable project schedule
• Implement high quality code with minimal defect rate
• Keep abreast of relevant technology innovations
Qualifications
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience implementing commercial software products (not
I.T.)
• Solid understanding and recent industry experience with Java and XML
• Familiarity with Relational Database technology is a plus
• Good verbal and written communications skills
