Internship at Accenture (Beijing) in business, economic, and geopolitical research
The Policy & Corporate Affairs Group at Accenture develops distinctive and authoritative viewpoints on issues relevant to the wider CEO agenda. Its China Research Program in Beijing is currently looking to recruit an intern for a period of 3-6 months (subject to review after the first month) to work on several projects that are already underway. The internships offer an excellent opportunity to apply research skills in a business context, involving the following:
 Secondary research and monitoring developments within China
 Contributing to reports, publications and briefs
 Liaising with experts, organisations and think tanks
The China Research Program analyses the opportunities and challenges that China is creating for both multinational and local companies. It also provides analysis on how the rise of China will shape international economics and geopolitics in the years to come. This program supports Accenture’s operations in China by developing insightful thought leadership and connecting Accenture with business networks, opinion formers, government officials and influential business leaders in the region. The program also supports Accenture’s workforce outside China by helping their clients understand the opportunities and risks of doing business in the region.
Applicants should have at least a good primary degree, preferably in economics or international business although applications from other disciplines are welcome. Good oral and written communication skills are essential, both in English and Chinese, as is an ability to explain complex ideas to a non-specialist audience and work in partnership with a range of external experts, organisations and think tanks. Applicants must ideally be based in Beijing already or are looking to locate there within the next month. The internships will be offered on a contractual basis, initially for a period of 1 month.
